The team works under the able guidance of the founder, Dr. G.L Grover, a techno-craft engineer with more than four decades of experience in steel plants i.e. induction furnaces, steel re-rolling mills, continuous casting and foundries. He is also an eminent metallurgist, well known at the national and international level for his contribution of developing stainless steel and construction steel. He is one of the first* to develop induction furnace technology.
Dr. G.L. Grover is both an eminent mechanical and metallurgical engineer who started his career started with renowned Auto Jukar Germany and later on worked in Escots foundry, installing & operating induction furnaces. He has a vast and varied experience of steel making, Billet casting and rolling TMT bars and Structural sections. He is a hardcore shop floor engineer who worked in various steel plants & foundries.
At the age of xx, he became the proud founder of Vinod International Limited (VIL). He is one of the first to bring induction and its technology in India and developed stainless steel melting, casting and flat rolling to manufacture stainless steel utensils. He is internationally known for his expertise and contribution to steel plants i.e electric arc furnace, induction furnace, continuous casting and billet rolling mills.
He is one of the pioneer member for *melting and rolling stainless steel first time in India through induction furnace route in 1971. He has a wide pool of experience of about 40 years, working for steel projects not only in India but also in the Gulf, Middle East & African countries. He was instrumental to develop silica quartz ramming mass suitable for steel, copper alloys and manufacturing acidic ramming masses.
In 2005, he was honored with "Udyog Bharati Award. In the subsequent years 2006 and 2007, his group company Vinod International was awarded with the "International Excellence Quality Award.
Recently, All India Induction Furnace Association has awarded him "Ispat Udyog Ratan Award" for his contribution to steel and metallurgical industries.
Mr. Sumit Grover, the Managing Director of Vinod International Limited is a commerce graduate. He is a real intrapreneur whose dream is to expand and take his family business to new heights. He has completed Masters of Entrepreneurship and management with specialization of international marketing from one of the premier institute of Government of India.
As a student he believed that only the theoretical knowledge was not enough so he also received his practical training in steel plants and foundries. He passionately followed the footsteps of his technocrat father and gained a hard core practical experience in the field of steel manufacturing.
